The Bridal Guide to Wedding Boutiques.

Where should I visit?

A commonly asked question that fills up Q&A pages around the internet. With this question however, there tends to be a bombardment of answers that clog up the comment sections and can leave brides to be still questioning where is best for their needs.
This is where I am stepping in to help. This blog will focus on where to go in and around Glasgow, based on budget, need for uniqueness and time frame. Thus hopefully helping brides to be to become more informed about their options.

Brides in the City Glasgow - The Unique Bride.

Custom. Custom. Custom! Ladies, if you're looking for a bespoke, one off dress to walk down the aisle in, Brides in The City is the place to go. Not only are the dresses designed in store by the award winning Deborah Mullholand-Main, their most expensive dress only hits £1299. Open for almost 2 years, their reviews and dresses speak volumes, just take a look at their Instagram, Facebook or website for more information!

Of course, it is important to remember the most custom you add, the higher the price may get.

Eleganza Sposa - The Designer Bride.

From Essence of Australia to Suzanne Neville, this beautiful shop - adorned with thousands of cherry blossoms - stocks all of your most pinned dresses. Opened in 1992, this store has been a Glasgow staple for almost 30 years, and has dressed brides in their dream dress ever since. Prices can start, however, from around £1500 which does make this boutique slightly more high end. Additionally, to book an appointment here, it does come with a charge.

Reeta Fashion - The Last Minute Bride

Reeta's has been an institution in Glasgow's bridal industry since the 1950's, and I bet if your mums, aunties or grannies got married in Glasgow over this period, at least one got their dress from this iconic shop. This store provides both brand new, order-able gowns, as well as last minute off the peg purchases at amazing prices. Stocking designers such as Enzoani, Allure and many more at discounts of up to 70%, this shop can be amazing for not only the time stretched bride, but also the bargain hunting brides among us.

The Budget Bride

Lastly, It is important to remember that you do no need to spend hundreds if not thousands of pounds on a gown. For those super budget brides out there, the choice is not limited. From the Oxfam Bridal stores, to girls selling pre-loved dresses online, to both online and physical stores specialising in second hand dresses, you do not need to compromise on style for price. For more bridal bargains, take a look at your local facebook marketplace, ebay or gumtree! You'll be sure to find something you love!
