When it comes to actually going to your bridal appointments, the prospect of wedding dresses and how to go about picking your own, can be an overwhelming experience. One of the best ways to get to grips with the different shapes and styles of gowns would be to attend a bridal show. Most recently, Brides in The City Glasgow hosted one of their very own, which was the ideal opportunity for some of Glasgow's newly engaged to have a great insight into the world of wedding dresses. To bring or not to bring, that is the question. Ladies, when it comes around to going to your first appointment, it can be daunting and at times an overwhelming experience. What to wear, who to bring and how many opinions to have with you are all valid and repeatedly asked questions of any bridal stylist. This is where this blog is here to help. First up, what should you wear to your bridal appointments. Now, unlike any other shopping experience you may have had, bridal is unique in that due to the valuable and complex nature of wedding gowns, you will have your own bridal consultant/stylist to dress you. Thus, it is important to first and foremost wear underwear that you feel confident in, and that you are happy to show to a total stranger 🤣. Additionally, like any other outfit, wear colour coordinated attire. Dear all brides to be, welcome to my bridal world where you don't need to stress the dress.   After working with brides for the last 2 years, I have realised that there is a whole new level of apprehension which comes with finding your perfect dress. One that I had only caught a glimpse of previously. Whether it is to do with what to wear to an appointment, what styles to try or even who to bring or where to go, all of these things can feel like mounting dread when you have so much else to navigate and think about when planning a wedding.  With this, I have decided to start a blog to give insight and potential advice in regard to dress shopping, so when your special day comes, it doesn't need to come with unnecessary pressure.  I know that this is easier said than done, and when my time comes i'm sure i'll be my own bundle of stress 🤣. But hopefully these blogs will help at least one bride take some tension from one of the most anticipated and intense decisions
